H A I K U
Haiku is a Japanese poem of 17 syllables and 3 verses. Based on this idea, I recorded Haiku, a set of 28 short improvised melodies with different saxophones and clarinets.
What gave birth to them was the natural echo I found in a magical space, the chapel of a convent very close to home. Space that also has an emotional meaning for me.
I recorded the melodies with 4 microphones in order to capture the echo, the sound of the instruments, the air, the sound of the keys… The melodies represent an idea, an image, a thought… like a haiku.

El haiku és un poema japonès de 17 síl·labes i 3 versos. Partint d’aquesta idea he gravat Haiku, un conjunt de 28 melodies breus improvisades amb diferents saxos i clarinets.
El que les ha fet néixer és el ressò natural que he trobat en un espai màgic, la capella d’un convent molt proper a casa. Espai que també té un significat emocional per a mi.
He gravat les melodies amb 4 micròfons per tal de captar el ressò, el so dels instruments, l’aire, el so de les claus… Les melodies representen una idea, una imatge, un pensament… com un haiku.
